Brett Herriot, Chair:

Brett chairs the committee throughout the year and has over all focus for delivering the annual Pride Event, Brett specifically looks after sponsorship, funding, partnerships and overseeing the entertainment programme. please email brett@prideedinburgh.org.uk

 

John Johnston, Director Community Engagement

John is a long standing member of the committee and he oversees the community engagement for Pride Edinburgh, reaching out beyond the LGBTQI spectrum to ensure that our pride festival is accessible to all. John also oversees the Community Fair if you would like a stall on the day drop John an email on johnj@prideedinburgh.org.uk

 

John Hein, Director Finance and Pride Scotia March Co-ordinator:

John is a pride original having been involved from the very first event and his experience is invaluable. John oversees the accounts and day to day financial running of the pride festival. John also oversees the organisation and running of the annual Pride Scotia March which is the traditional opening event of Pride Edinburgh. Will Furie, Volunteer Coordinator:

Will is appointed by the pride committee to oversee the recruitment and retention of our large volunteer team that is deployed on pride day itself on the March and the various other events. He is dedicated to the ethos of pride and contributes significantly to pride. If you would like to volunteer at this years event and beyond please contact will at volunteer@prideedinburgh.org.uk

 

Jan Irvine, Pride Coordinator for Transgender Engagement

Jan joined the pride committee in 2016 as the committee took the decision to have greater focus and inclusion of the transgender community and there connection to pride. Jan is hugely respected advocate for Transgender awareness and rights and her work includes community outreach, autobiographical stage productions and documentary features for the BBC. Jamie Love, Pride Coordinator for Press, Marketing and Executive Producer for our Main Stage Entertainment Programme.

Jamie joined the pride committee in 2015 and officially became a partner of Pride Edinburgh in 2016. Pride Edinburgh now partners with Jamie’s company “Monumental Marketing” to produce our main stage event on pride day itself. Jamie also oversees our Press and Marketing activities. Jamie works closely with the chair to ensure our entertainment programme offers something for everyone.
